Visit the bizarro world!
For the first time, Rambo fans can see their beloved hero get waxed during a never-before-seen alternate ending that will be shown as "First Blood" hits theaters Thursday night for a one time showing. Locally, all three Edwards Theaters in the Treasure Valley will carry the movie, including Nampa's Edwards 14 which has a showing slated for 7:30 p.m.
Honestly, I don't know how people will take seeing the fabled Green Beret get whacked during the alternate ending — it all just kinda goes against everything Rambo fans have come to believe in, myself included. The entire Russian army couldn't kill him in No. 3.
My guess is he falls on his survival knife. That's how I'd want to go.
You can also stick around and listen to Sly Stallone talk about the iconic Rambo series and the fourth installment that was recently released. No, he won't actually be there in person. It's all part of the movie, which should run two hours and 10 minutes.
This is going on for just one night so there will be limited seats. Tickets $10 at www.fandango.com or at the box office.
