BY REPRESENTATIVE FRANK HENDERSON
Our economy is in trouble, and that means that some of our Idaho families are in trouble too. As we work to rebuild businesses and industry, we can't forget to lend a helping hand to our neighbors. Families, Churches and Volunteers are doing amazing work across Idaho, providing critical support to our most vulnerable citizens. Additionally, the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare is reaching out to those in need, providing information and services to help them get through this difficult time.
One such service is the 2-1-1 Idaho CareLine. Careline is run by the Department of Health and Welfare as a free statewide community information and referral service.
Careline has a comprehensive database including programs that offer free or inexpensive health and human services. Simply dial 2-1-1 or 1-800-926-2588 to reach a customer service specialist. They have information regarding help and assistance with:
- Idaho Grocery Credit
- Radon Testing
- Foster Care
- Domestic Violence
- Child Care Licensing
- Circuit Breaker / Property Tax Reduction Program
Please, take advantage of these resources if you need help, and let others know that they are available, too.
