It can be hard to get yourself to shoot your bow during many cold and wet spring days, but shooting form deteriorates over time. Yes, your sights don't change, but the muscle memory takes time to get back. Personally, I know that I cannot hold on a target well at all after a long break. Special Olympics alpine races wrap up Friday and Bogus Basin season passes go on sale Monday.
Friday is the last day to catch the Special Olympic Alpine races up at Bogus. Races begin at 9 a.m. and awards begin at 1 p.m. This will be your last chance to participate; so head up the hill and cheer for your favorite athlete.

As a resolution for 2009, right behind loosing weight and in front of drink less pop, I want to experience more outside. I am the king of excuses. The biggest is always "not enough money." Get your bows ready, last weekend marked the opening of the archery shooting season. Well, not for everybody.
