NCA statement.

Don't miss today's news story about the resignation of three more board members and the parent rep for Nampa Classical Academy charter school.

The newly founded charter, located on Smith Avenue in Nampa, opened its doors in September with more than 500 students. But since then, seven board members and parent representative Holle McRae have tendered their resignations.

To the best of my knowledge, the resigned board members still have their children enrolled at Nampa Classical Academy. That says they are committed to the foundation of the charter, but they've made it clear they do not think conflicts can be resolved.

"At this time, we believe we can no longer be associated with a board that Michael Moffett leads as chairman. We believe there have been issues at the board level and with some of the leadership at NCA that conflict with the core values and will affect the success of NCA. We have exhausted all efforts in taking action to correct poor decisions made by founders which will have a negative affect on NCA. The Board of Directors should be unified and we cannot unify with Michael Moffett as a member of the Board of Directors. For this purpose, we offer our resignations effective immediately."

Carolina McArthur - Board Director

Mitch Miller - Board Director

Bryon Merrill - Ad-hoc Board Director

Holle McRae - Executive Committee Parent Representative

A story that we published in Tuesday's paper indicates that the Idaho Public Charter School Commission has concerns about Nampa Classical Academy and the position that Isaac Moffett holds. Is Isaac Moffett acting as an administrator even though Acting Board Chairman Mike Moffett says there is only one administrator, Val Bush?

Time for a full investigation/audit. Seems to me that if the full board, except for one person, feels the need to quit..points entirely to the problem being with the one person remaining. Need to take a close look at this guy and his dealings.
