You probably don't have time to read all the comments we get on the different stories we publish. But I just wanted to share a couple of clever ones — the kind that make you LOL (laugh out loud) no matter what your own personal point of view is.
Here's what one person said today after we posted a story that says Canyon County Commissioners ponder another jail bond in the spring.
Why can't we have Charter Jails? Just submit a proposal on how your vision of how to run a jail is better than the jail already in place. Then the Charter Jail Commission will give you millions of tax dollars to build your new jail vision and the prisoners will come. No need to get "approval" from the people who will pay for it, just the approval from a few souls on the Commission. That's how the charter schools do it; why not jails too? —BlueinIdaho
Then there's this fun one from our "Wing nuts camp out" story.
Vote NO on the jail bond. For the amount of money it will cost you, in the next 20 years, you could buy Wings for life! — zaz -
