The Idaho Democratic Legislative Caucus' "Legislative Listening Tour" will be in Canyon County on Wednesday, April 8. Citizens are invited to come learn how Democrats would represent Canyon County residents on issues including public transportation, education, good-paying jobs and energy independence. The forum is set for 7 to 8:30 p.m. in Langroise Hall on the College of Idaho campus in Caldwell.
"Our Democratic legislators know that involved citizens are the key to a successful democracy and that it's important to get out of the Capitol Annex and hear what people are thinking," said Randy Johnson, executive director of the Idaho Democratic Legislative Caucus.
Canyon County's four legislative districts are currently all represented by Republicans. "This session has shown some sharp differences between the parties on issues that are vitally important to Canyon County, and we think people will be interested to learn more about those differences and ask questions about the issues that most concern them," Johnson said.
The event is sponsored by the Idaho Democratic Legislative Caucus and the Canyon County Democrats.
