-Register with the Idaho Press-Tribune (you can do it below or here). If you are already registered, well, good for you!
-Post a comment right here on the blog by answering both of these...read more

Boise State sophomore safety Jeron Johnson is known as a physical player. More often than not, it is a compliment.
However, Johnson has rung up two very notable personal foul calls this season - a hit on Oregon's Ed Dickson got him thrown of the game and a late hit on San Jose State's David Richmond last week on third down that kept a Spartan drive alive, winding up with a touchdown.
"It was a...read more

New Mexico State offers something new for Boise State to prepare for on offense and defense.
Offensively, of course, the Aggies have their "Air Raid" offense with Chase Holbrook, Chris Williams and company leading the way. NMSU has attempted 289 passes this season, 64 more than Boise State.
On the other side of the ball, the Aggies run a unique defense: the 3-3-5. There's three down linemen...read more

Here's a link I found interesting.
ESPN.com's Bruce Feldman writes that Boise State's success has been underrated this season, and also notes the fact that the Broncos are doing it with a ton of young talent.
I completely agree with Feldman. It's pretty remarkable that not only are the Broncos unbeaten and playing very well right now, but it's not like 2006. There's a freshman QB, young...read more

Boise State's offensive linemen don't speak with the media during the season. Maybe the New Mexico State Aggies will want to do the same.
Senior guard Polo Guiterrez spoke with local and Boise media today and had some interesting things to say. First, he said that without a questionable call or two against the Broncos in 2006, the Aggies would have been even closer to the win.

Even though the stats may not say so, the Boise State Broncos played one of their more balanced games Friday night against San Jose State.
The Broncos ran for 149 yards, but 66 came in the fourth quarter as Boise State finally was able to put a team away late, scoring 10 points in the final 6 minutes in the 33-16 win.
However, two turnovers led directly to 10 Spartan points, plus costly penalties kept...read more

OK, it's not a surprise at all. In fact, it's become expected for Boise State to stuff its opponents.
With a 20-9 lead at the half, the Broncos did not give up a single first down until the Spartans' last drive before halftime, which ended with a 47-yard field goal.
San Jose State's lone score came on a 62-yard INT return by Justin Cole.
At the same time, the Bronco offense looks like it has rebounded...read more

One of the biggest things to watch for tonight will be the battle between the big guys up front for San Jose State and Boise State.
The Broncos are tied for 15th in the NCAA, giving up only 1.00 sacks per game. The Spartans are No. 3 in sacks by their defense (3.57 per game).
What it may boil down to is this: Boise State is sixth nationally, getting 3.33 sacks per game. San Jose State is 115th in sacks allowed (3.14 per game)...read more

Hey folks, I'm here at Spartan Stadium, and set to go for tonight's ESPN2 game.
It's certainly a smaller atmosphere here, but I like the proximity of the press box to the field, and hey, it's old-school: grass!

Hello everyone back home. I just made it into San Jose, readying for tomorrow night's game.

I just got off a conference call with San Jose State's Carl and Duke Ihenacho, and its pretty crazy how both are so talented, yet are still pretty new at football.

It's hard to imagine the Boise State defense doing much better than it had in previous weeks, but somehow it did Friday in a 27-7 win over Hawaii.

It’s always something weird in college football.
