The Boise State football team hit the field Monday for the first time since March 19's scrimmage.
It looked like a few injuries have healed nicely, most notably in punter Brad Elkin, who was supposed to miss the entire spring, but he was out there kicking. Defensive end Shea McClellin also participated in most drills.
Drew Hawkins hit Tyler Shoemaker on a great 50-yard TD pass on an inside slant...read more

The final schedule has yet to be put out for 2009, but the Boise State athletic site has a slight change in the tentative date for the big Boise State-Oregon game at Bronco Stadium to open the season.
The new date? Thursday, Sept. 3.
Perusing some other sites, there aren't many big games that day. South Carolina plays North Carolina State, but that's about it. On the 5th, Oklahoma plays...read more

There's nothing like a college football Saturday. Or Sunday. Or Monday. Or Wednesday.
One of the interesting things about the Boise State football schedule is what wacky (or WAC-y) days of the week games will be played. Remember in 2007 with two Sunday games?
Anyhow, though the Broncos' schedule has yet to be finalized, it looks like they will play at Tulsa on Oct. 14, which is a Wednesday...read more

The scheduling dominoes are still falling, even with less than six months until the 2009 season kicks off.

Today marked the beginning of a very exciting, yet very busy week in the Boise sports scene.
We've got spring football (scrimmage on Thursday), BSU men's hoops in the postseason, BSU wrestling at nationals this weekend ... and of course the NCAA tournament.
I thought I'd pass along a few highlights from Monday's football practice: naturally, Titus Young looked great, putting up a...read more

The Boise State men's basketball team likely saw its season come to an end Thursday.
There is a chance the Broncos could see an NIT, CBI or CollegeInsider.com bid, but the quarterfinal loss to New Mexico State in the WAC tournament did not help.

He won't be back next season, so who is?

I just got back from the first spring practice of the year, and thought I'd pass along a few notes.
First off, it looks like missing the last 10 games and a few months worth of practices didn't put much rust on Titus Young, who looked very good Monday. He had a few nice long catches and routinely got inside the defensive backs covering him in drills.
Lining up on the other side of him was...read more
