Boise State senior cornerback Kyle Wilson was named the Western Athletic Conference defensive player of the week Monday.
Wilson had a 27-yard interception return for a touchdown in the Broncos' 45-7 win over San Jose State. It is the second straight week a Bronco earned defensive player of the week honors. Fresno State running back Ryan Mathews was the offensive player of the week and Idaho kick returner Justin Veltung was the special teams player of the week.
