The important thing is this: To be able at any moment to sacrifice what we are for what we could become. Charles Dubois

How many times do we have to roll something around in our mind, before we actually leap and take a risk? Why do we spend so much time talking ourselves out of why we should not do something, only to give up before taking a risk or just giving up? Is there something you have been meaning to do, want to do, want to say, ask, or change but continue to put it on the shelf to be forgotten growth? What is stopping you?

I just finished an amazing book called, "Failing Forward", applied the advice provided and took two big leaps last week. I sent in presentations to a couple of large corporations; an adventure I had procrastinated for months. The beautiful thing, I have already succeeded, already met my own standards, my own qualifications, no matter what the outcome. John C. Maxwell, discusses the power of embracing failure, persevering, and accepting "failure as a price for progress". What if, just as you were about to give up, and failed to take the leap, success was just a few moments away? Benjamin Franklin, once said, "The things which hurt, instruct". How true. So, when you are looking risk in the face, grab on to trust, and run with it. If you do not extend yourself, and put yourself out there, you are the only one missing out on the life you want and finding what it is you are searching for. Often, just taking a chance fills us with joy, and surrounds us with the aura of success, leading us to jump into bigger and brighter paths. Imagine, all that there is to gain, just by stepping out of the routine, the comfort zone. All will fall perfectly into place if you just take the first baby steps.

One doesn't discover new lands without consenting to lose sight of the shore for a very long time. Andre Gide

A great book to indulge; Carrie Adams', "The Godmother". This author has surprising one-liners, and will hold your attention and captivate your senses. If your in a rut, pick up, "Sweet Life", by Mia King.
