You gotta love technology if you're a sports fan. The upcoming football season has been much more insightful this season because of it.

As a fan of the Big Ten Conference, I feel right at home this season thanks to the Big Ten Network's football tour, a series devoted to all 11 schools with a 90-minute program chock-full of practice segments, player interviews and coaches breaking down their teams.

Barack Obama doesn't have anything on this type of transparency.

Former ESPN play-by-play man Dave Revsine leads the coverage, which is highlighted by the ongoing practice sessions, as well as the insight by former Vanderbilt/LSU/Indiana head coach Gerry DiNardo and former Illinois and NFL fullback Howard Griffith.

If you don't have the station and are a follower of one of the Big Ten schools, fear not, they can also be viewed online.

But if you could care less about the Big Ten, there's also another way to get a slew of info from one of your favorite teams via Twitter.

Some of the coaches tweeting during fall camp are UCS's Pete Carroll, Wyoming's Dave Christensen, Colorado's Dan Hawkins and Florida's Urban Meyer, to name a few.

Sorry Bronco fans, Chris Petersen has yet to add an account.

Many coaches invite fans to come out to practice, tell fans who may be performing well at practice, or in Hawkins' case, give a shout-out to a new season-ticket holder.

College football is better for these type of new technologies, now it would be great for all them to jump on board.
