Last Bowl: 2009 BCS National Championship
Last season: 13-1, 8-1
Florida won the national championship last season, so it's only natural to pick them to repeat, right? Well, when you return a Heisman winner at QB and every single defensive player on the two-deep, no one else comes close. The Gators only get three home SEC games, but they're so good, they could play all road games and go unbeaten.
The season is a success if ... The Gators repeat as national champions. Nothing less will be acceptable, especially in QB Tim Tebow's senior season. Barring any major injuries, the team is plenty deep to make up for any dings and bruises along the way.
The season is a failure if ... Someone upsets the Gators during the regular season. Florida plays at LSU on Oct. 10, but has a bye beforehand, so the Gators should be well prepared. Getting a few more carries for the running backs would help Tebow.
Impact Player: Senior, Tim Tebow, quarterback. Who else? As a junior, he ran for 673 yards and 12 TDs, threw for 2,746 yards and 30 TDs, plus had just four INTs. He also hit 64.4 percent of his passes. He very well could become just the second two-time Heisman winner.
Fun Fact: ESPN's Erin Andrews is a 2000 grad of Florida, where she was a member of the school's dance team.
